Each site's admin lives at hq.<your domain> — or hq.<site>.foundationcms.org before the site has its own domain. Sign in there; the session lasts 72 hours.
The first rail names the sections. Picking one opens its own menu in the second rail; Dashboard and System health open full width.
| Section | What is in it |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | Visits, recent changes, form submissions, and anything that needs attention. |
| Content | Every content type (pages, news, and whatever this site's model holds), the field library, and Media — the image and file library. |
| Site | Navigation (menus), redirects, global content (the values every page shares), forms, design (logo, colours, fonts) and marketing. |
| People | Team — who can sign in to this site and with what role — and Members, the site's own visitor accounts where the site has them. The two are kept apart on purpose. |
| Settings | Site: the site's details, domains and publishing, email, spam protection, SEO and redirects, analytics and ads, compliance. CMS: health checks, the activity log, users and roles, and API keys. |
| System health | Whether the address, certificate, email DNS, menus, redirects and database are all well, and recent errors. |
Open a type, then an entry. Fields are drawn from the site's model, so each site's editor fits its content. Save with the button in the top bar or ⌘S; an entry can be a draft, published, or scheduled for a date. Every save keeps a revision. Deleting moves an entry to the bin, from which it can be restored.
Upload anywhere you see UPLOAD, or drop files on a media field. Folders are tags on files, so one file can sit in several; make a folder with + NEW FOLDER, and open one to rename, move or remove it. Alt text is written once per file and used everywhere the file appears; a description is the library's own note on what a file is, and search finds it.
Build a form under Site → Forms: questions, sections, conditions, where each submission is sent (email, webhook) and how long answers are kept. Submissions arrive in the form's inbox, where each shows when and from where it came and whether its email was delivered. Mark as spam deletes it and blocks the sender.
⌘K searches every entry of every type by title and text, as well as the admin's own screens.
